CENTRE LSD
« on: June 30, 2012, 01:51:20 AM »
Thanks to Rik at Rossmod for taking quite a lot of time talking to me today ,about all things
MCD  ;) ;)  .
So whats this diff ,well simply it's an LSD as we know ,but for the centre ,with a Very strong
spring , In stock with Rossmod awaiting price ,shortly .
Rik said some will like it some won't ( talking off rd here ) at Race level depends on driver
preference and style .
Pros and cons : well the Obvious plus ,no need to worry on uneven landings ,evens the torque
out and reduces the drive train strain a lot . More steering , especially on high grip .Overall
a smoother all round Lap .
The cons , Reduced Braking but still good , slightly less punch out of corners , and on a very
wet track not as fast as a locked centre .
So reading between the lines ,with this fitted ,you need to drive well smooth and tidy and
brake well and as straight as possible , the locked centre allows more Flamboyant driving
Mines on the way ,and I will try it ,in V4 and X4  8) 8)

I think the new very stiff LSD might be somewhat better ,although not perfect brakes wise ,
as good and clever as your mod is ,few will or are capable of taking it on .
So it's an option to try ,some may live with it ,some may not , it may save some Bashers money,
the ones who don't know what brakes are anyway

They did not copy when I showed them some years ago, so I doubt it  :P

It is true, you need to adopt your driving style... I liked it, maybe I'll do it again... :)
