Why do members prefer to put things on feabay rather then on here first?????? ???
Races are won by preparation not just luck and driving skill"
Build it right and it could win!!
You 1st have to finish the race to stand a chance of winning it..
Plus watch out for the PLONKER going the wrong way.................

I always wonder which way to go when selling stuff ,you normally get a bigger Audience with
E bay ,and  if it's non MCD specific it can reach more people .
However with current Fees on more expensive stuff pays to have a punt elsewhere first ,but
with Forums in decline generally ,because of Face Book ,Twitter etc hard to say ,fewer people
posting, perhaps because it requires time ,commitment  and Effort .
There seems a reluctance to start new posts ,has been for some time , about 10 people on here
have started the majority of posts for the last few years .
A lot of the Quality posters have gone away , I know I have talked to them ,fed up with Trolls
and 5 minute experts and petty politics that affect their R/C Business and way of modelling .
Hope things pick up ,but to do that we need some member commitment ,and quality posting,
of Interesting Builds and Ideas ,Race feedback ,so everyone can join in !!!!  No good saying
"It's Quiet " make it less quiet ,do some regular posting  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Have to admit that i have not really had any luck selling on here, but i think that is mostly due to the world wide nature of this forum.... being that not many aussies tend to frequent this site... and shipping to an overseas address doesn't really work out cost effective.

So for me selling on a more AU local forum seems to work better.... but, why some prefer to use fleabay is beyond me too.... although i have my suspicions, but won't go into it here.

There is no secret or conspiracy   to selling , Good advert ,clean presentable goods ,good and
clear description ,and a reasonable price , the unknown bit is if your future buyer is out there,
and reading where you put the Ad  ;) ;)

And timing your Ad helps !!!  End of the month /Start of race season /good weather /Xmas etc.

Ask your local shop if they will sell stuff on consignment? Captured audience and they will generally pay a higher price from a shop instead of standing in your shed offering half a carton of west end (worst beer in the world for anyone outside South Australia!)
Mummy mummy that man said he won't be my friend if i buy an MCD

One or two UK shops will P/EX nice stuff ,or as Mike said Advertise on their Web site if it's
got a suitable section ,and you are a Good customer ,or perhaps if you don't want the hassle
take a small commission , Not many (and it's a shame ) people go to the Model Shop anymore ,
as they are few and far between ,and the Net is in the room with you  ;)
Still some service Industry stuff going on though , I know Our MCD dealer will take work on
if you don't fancy ,or don't have the time or Experience to do it  :)
